Meet Sweet Heat: Our CBD Hot Honey
Meet our fiery blend of Willamette Valley honey + Peruvian Limo Chili, Thai Chili, Ghost Pepper, and full spectrum hemp extract.
This honey packs a punch, but is perfectly approachable for those who don’t mind heat. Slather on your grilled favorites, add to your charcuterie board, top your pizza, or simply enjoy on its own. Guaranteed to brighten your mood and lift your spirit.
Sweet Heat is our spicy CBD honey: organic wildflower honey infused with real chilies and full-spectrum hemp. It is the only CBD honey we make with a combination of fermented and fresh ingredients, for a tangy-sweet start and a warming, spicy finish. Think of it as a CBD hot honey built for the kitchen.
What’s inside Sweet Heat?
We start with aji limo paste, made from a traditional Peruvian recipe with organic limo pepper. Next is Thai chili (bird’s eye), which often runs about 15 times hotter than a jalapeno (don’t worry, just a touch). A pinch of ghost pepper rounds out the heat, and a splash of apple cider vinegar plus our organic wildflower honey ties it all together.
How hot is Sweet Heat?
It is mostly organic wildflower honey, but it packs a punch. On a scale of 1 to 10, we would put it around a 6 or 7. Each taste gives you a tangy-sweet start followed by a warming, spicy kick. Not for the faint of heart, but it will not totally mask your meal.
How to use spicy CBD honey
Usually we suggest stirring our honey into tea. Not this one (unless you want a very interesting cup). Instead, reach for Sweet Heat in the kitchen:
- Drizzle over grilled meats or roasted veggies
- Add it to a charcuterie board
- Work it into sauces, or top a pizza
- Stir into a ginger juice shot
- Or take a packet straight, if you dare
It is dynamic as an ingredient, so be adventurous. Browse the rest of our CBD Honey collection, or read our guide to CBD honey.
Tip: CBD’s boiling point is about 356°F, so add it toward the end of cooking or keep the heat low.
