CBD & Cannabis Tea

People have used cannabis and herbal teas for hundreds of years to promote health, healing and relaxation. Combining the active ingredients in cannabis (such as the cannabinoid CBD) with therapeutic herbs and spices produces a soothing, holistic remedy that can alleviate a variety of symptoms, boost energy and improve mood. Our Brothers CBD Teas already contain powdered coconut milk as a lipid to increase absorption. If you’re looking for simple, easy ways to spice up your CBD teas and increase potency, try adding one of the 5 following ingredients to your brew!*

1. Grass-fed Ghee

Ghee is simply clarified butter. This means that ghee has no lactose or casein, the milk sugars and proteins that typically trigger a dairy allergy. Grass-fed ghee contains higher amounts of CLA, Vitamin K and omega-3 fatty acids than its grain-fed counterpart. It’s a delicious substitute for creamer, not to mention a powerful brain food and can help reduce inflammation. People have been adding ghee to their herbal teas for thousands of years. Traditional butter tea comes from the misty mountains of the Himalayas – from Nepal, India and Tibet. Many health-conscious folks around the globe have even taken to butter coffee or “Bulletproof Coffee.” You can check out our own CBD Version of this recipe here!*

2. Organic Coconut Oil

Coconut oil contains MCTs (medium-chain triglycerides), an anti-inflammatory form of saturated fat that is easily digested and metabolized into energy. Recent studies suggest that coconut oil can support healthy memory, boost energy levels and promote healthy digestion. Coconut oil is also naturally antibacterial and anti-fungal, which helps support your body’s immunity. Brothers CBD Coconut Oil Sticks offer a perfect dose of added fat for extra absorption of your CBD of THC teas!*

3. Pink Salt

Pink Salt, also known as Himalayan Salt, is chock full of essential minerals like magnesium and potassium. It’s also naturally detoxifying and it helps prevent low blood pressure, and recent research even suggests that it can reduce the risk of infection. Aside from the bevy of health benefits, Pink Salt also brings out the subtleties of many different teas’ dynamic flavor profiles. To reap the benefits, simply add a dash of Pink Salt to your usual mug of CBD tea.*

4. Cinnamon

Cinnamon is a delicious, exotic spice found in everything from pumpkin pie to BBQ sauce. Packed with natural antioxidants, cinnamon is prized for its anti-inflammatory properties and for its ability to support healthy blood sugar. Cinnamon pairs especially well with our Chai Awakening Hemp CBD Tea, and features prominently in our Pumpkin Spice Chai Hemp CBD Tea. Cinnamon also helps add a little spice and cut the sweetness of Brothers Wild Rosin CBD Honey.*

5. Grass-fed Collagen

Collagen is one of those essential building blocks. This protein is found in your muscles, you skin, your tendons, your digestive system – and pretty much everywhere else. As we age, our collagen production slows. This is the reason for wrinkled skin and joint pain. By regularly adding grass-fed collagen to your CBD tea, you can actually improve the condition of your skin, hair, joints and gut! Don’t worry – collagen is completely dissolvable and mostly tasteless so it won’t ruin the experience of sipping your fave Brothers Tea blend!*
