CBD Tea Latte

Ingredients:
  • 1/2 of your favorite Brothers Hemp CBD Teabags
  • Milk (or dairy-free alternative milk)
  • Sweetener of your choice - we like to use a stick of Brothers CBD Honey
Instructions:

Boil your water pour it over the 1-2 teabags in your mug.

Fill your mug about 3/4 of the way full, leaving enough room for the milk.

Let your tea steep as directed. Add a stick of Brothers CBD Honey (or the sweetener of your choice).

Measure 1/2 cup of milk into a measuring cup.

For a creamier taste, stick to whole or 2%+ milk, or reach for a creamier alternative milk like a coconut-almond milk blend.

Next is the fun part - frothing the milk to create the latte effect!

In a small saucepan, heat your milk of choice over medium high heat.

Don't let your milk reach a boil.

When you start to see small bubbles appear at the surface, remove it from the heat and stir.

To create extra foam, use a hand-held frother like this one to froth the heated milk.

Carefully pour the milk into your mug, preserving the layer of foam on the top. Enjoy!

Tea Latte

  1. If you’re not familiar, a tea latte is simply a frothed-milk latte flavored with tea rather than with espresso! Tea lattes are a fantastic alternative to high-caffeine café lattes, and they can be made with just about any tea that catches your fancy!  Even better, you don’t need an expensive machine to make a delicious CBD Tea Latte. Read on for our favorite method for creating a simple, wholesome CBD Tea Latte at home!*

A Healthy Alternative

There are many health benefits to switching from high-caffeine coffee to CBD tea, from increased hydration, better sleep, boosted antioxidant levels and decreased stress and anxiety. Naturally calming and mood-elevating, CBD has been used for hundreds of years to soothe anxiety, ease chronic pain and provide a state of alertness (without the jitters of caffeine). While many use CBD in higher doses as a non-pharmaceutical sleep aid, in lower doses CBD actually produces an alert, focused feeling without excessive caffeine.*

The Tea on CBD

CBD, also known as cannabidiol, is a compound naturally found in the cannabis plant. The non-psychoactive cousin to THC, CBD can’t get you high. Instead, when ingested, CBD gets to work on your body’s endocannabinoid system. Our body’s endocannabinoid system is in charge of regulating sleep patterns, appetite and general mood. Your body already produce cannabinoids in its regulation of emotion and sleep – ingesting CBD can trigger the release of more. In addition to triggering the release of cannabinoids, CBD works with the nervous system to intercept the transmission of pain signals in the body. It also influences the release of specific hormones and enzymes that can aid in digestive health and cognitive function.* Sounds like a good way to start the day!
